Remote Control Switch Board Internal Circuit Diagram
Hey, in this article, we are going to see the Remote Control Switch Board Internal Circuit Diagram. This circuit diagram will help you to make a Remote Control Switch Board at your home very easily. Also, I will give you the component list with proper ratings. A Remote Control Switch Board is basically an electronic device or system that helps users to remotely control electrical appliances such as lights, fans, and other devices from a distance. It is a very simple and basic home automation or smart home technology that is very easy to install, control, and budget-friendly.
Circuit Diagram
Here, the circuit diagram given below is for an IR remote control switchboard. You can control this switchboard using an IR remote.
Component List
Here is the list of components used to make this switchboard,
- 3-Pin Plug 230V AC - 1 Pcs
- 3-Pin Socket 230V AC - 1 Pcs
- 9V Relay - 1 Pcs
- 230V AC/9V DC Power Supply Unit or SMPS - 1 Pcs
- IC 7805 - 1 Pcs
- IC 4017 - 1 Pcs
- IC 555 - 1 Pcs
- IR Receiver TSOP1738 - 1 Pcs
- Transistor BC547 - 1 Pcs
- 1N4007 Diode - 1 Pcs
- 0.01uF Ceramic Capacitor - 2 Pcs
- 10uF Electrolytic Capacitor - 1 Pcs
- 100K Resistor - 2 Pcs
- 330 Ohm Resistor - 1 Pcs
Circuit Description
As you can see in the above circuit diagram, the 9V power supply unit is used to operate the 9V Relay. The IC 7805 is used to convert the 9V DC from the power supply unit into a 5V DC power supply which is required to operate the rest whole circuit including all the ICs.
The IR receiver is connected to the trigger terminal of the IC 555 and the output of the IC 555 is connected to the Clock terminal of the IC 4017. The output of the IC 4017 is connected to the transistor BC547 and the Output of the Transisir is connected to the coil of the Relay.
Working Principle and Operation
First of all, the incoming of the switchboard which is connected to a 3-pin plug is to be connected to the main power supply. The load which we want to operate is to be connected to the output of the switchboard which is connected to the 3-pin socket. Remember that the load should be rated with 230V AC.
Now when we press the switch on the remote to activate the load power supply the IR receiver receives a signal to turn On the IC 555 and it activates the corresponding 9V relay with the help of IC 4017 and Transistor BC 547. So, the load connected to this switchboard will get the power supply and it will turn On.
Similarly, when we press the switch on the remote to deactivate the load power supply the IR receiver receives a signal to turn Off the IC 555 and it deactivates the corresponding 9V relay with the help of IC 4017 and Transistor BC 547. So, the load connected to this switchboard will disconnected from the power supply and it will turn Off.
