Wiring Harness VS Wireless Harness | Everything Explained
When electrical or electronic circuits are more complex we face more difficulty in arranging all the wires and cables used in the circuit. Without taking any action on it we have to face so many difficulties to find and identify, faults and lines. To escape these difficulties, the concept of wiring harness came. A wiring harness system helps a lot to manage a huge number of wires and cables in a complex circuit, device, or system. After the wireless harness system replaced the wiring harness method.
What is Wiring Harness?
The wiring harness is an assembly of multiple cables and wires that are bound or tied together by a cable tie, rubber band, electrical tape, conduit, string, etc. A wiring harness is also known as a wire harness, cable harness, cable assembly, wiring assembly, or wiring loom. The wiring harness method can be used anywhere. For example, if you connect your TV and music system with a set-top box. You will notice there are also some cables that will lay in an undressable way. You can dress them by harness method. By tying them together using a rubber band or cable tie.

There are many examples of commercial wire harnesses such as AV cables, batch cables, ports, etc.
You will see in an AV Cable, the three individual cables are attached together by gum or adhesive and those individual cables contain two wires inside. If there is no this type of arrangement, a total of six individual wires will be seen and it will look very ugly.
In the case of automobiles, wires are laid through sleeves or conduits or spiral bindings, etc. For example, all wires going to the lighting purpose can be tied separately whereas all wires going to the sound system can be tied separately. So, anyone can easily understand and identify all the wires separately.

Professional cables are built with multiple wires that are cut in the same length. And at the end of the wire connector is connected. For, special applications wires are arranged in an integrated way within an insulating material.
Don't confuse it with wire harnesses and cable assemblies. Both of them are different. The cable assembly has only two ends such as an HDMI cable. HDMI cable contains so many wires inside the cables but all of them are connected to the same port so it has two ends only. Or simple cable laying from one place to another place in an arranged way also be called cable assembly.
On the other hand, wire harnesses have so many multiple ends and wires may go to different places and directions. For example, an AV cable has a total of six ends and three cables one is used for video signal transmission, and another two are used for left and right sound signal transmission. Here, all the cables are used for different purposes but in the middle, they are tied together. Similarly, in automobiles, different wires go to the different lights but all the lighting wires are tied together.
What is Wireless Harness?
When all the devices are connected wirelessly instead of electrical wires then it can be called Wireless Harness. Here, an electromagnetic signal is used instead of an electrical signal. For example, there are four peripheral devices that are to be connected to a central device. If we connect them by electrical wires, we require a minimum of four wires and need to arrange them. But if we connect them wirelessly there is no need for electrical wires and no need to arrangement of wires also. Connecting multiple devices, we need different wires or cables but in the wireless connection, just changing the frequency or bandwidth of the signal multiple devices can be connected and operated.
