Telephone Line RJ25, RJ14, and RJ11 Pinout Diagram, Color Codes
RJ means Registered Jack. RJ25, RJ14, and RJ11 all of the jacks are have six positions and used for telephone line connection. These pins are described and differ from each other due to their actual physical pins or positions and the actual connections. These all the jacks physically look like same but there is a connection difference in their contacts. The concept of Tip and Ring is also very important to understand this topic. Tip and Ring are the two sides or o conductors of a telephone line. All the telephone plugs are identified by these two terms Tip and Ring. So the pins of the RJ25, RJ14, and RJ11 are identified as Tip and Ring as they are used for telephone lines. These two terms make a difference between the terminals. One telephone line has one Tip and One ring.
