So when you receive any message or call the motor gets an electric supply and it starts to rotate and as a result, the Mobile Phone does vibrate.
Mobile Phone Vibration Motor
The mobile phone vibration motor is a DC motor that can rotate at a 3V DC supply. There are mainly two types of mobile phone vibration motors,
Types of mobile phone vibration motors:
1. Cylindrical Type mobile phone vibration motor:
This type of motor is very simple like PMDC motors but has a different construction. This type of motor has the permanent magnet as the rotor and a Coil in the stator. When a DC supply is given to the motor the permanent magnet rotates. As its shaft is attached to the Eccentric mass counterweight, the mobile phone does vibrate.
This type of motor is used in old mobile phones.
2. Coin Type mobile phone vibration motor:
This type of motor looks like a coin. This type of motor is used in modern smartphones.
Mobile phone vibration motor RPM:
Normally a mobile phone vibration motor runs at 9000rpm - 12000rpm. The rpm of motors varies with different phones.
