What type of motors are used in Kid's Toy, How works toy motors
You may see a simple small motor is used in Kid’s toy. PMDC or Permanent Magnet DC motor is used in toys. Let’s know what is inside a toy motor. The different parts of the toy motor are shown in the picture.
From the outside, you can see the steel frame that forms the body of the motor. The permanent magnet is attached to the body of the motor. An armature coil was placed inside. This motor also works on the principle of Fleming's left-hand rule. When a current-carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic field, a torque will be developed on it hence it moves.

In this motor, the magnetic field is created by the permanent magnet. The voltage is applied to the armature conductor through the Brush and commutator, so it experiences a force and rotates.
Two leads are brought out from the motor which is to be connected to the battery or DC source for its operation. You will be noticed, when you interchange the connection, the direction of rotation will be reversed.
These motors are generally operating at 3V-5V DC.
